prefx Mobile App: Privacy Addendum

This addendum applies specifically to the prefx mobile application provided by baffe, LLC. We built this tool for our own sets, and we respect the privacy requirements of a professional production environment.

01. Zero Data Collection

prefx is a localized filmmaking utility. We do not require user accounts, logins, or registration. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal information, contact details, or device-specific identifiers (such as IMEI or advertising IDs).

02. Local Media & Permissions

The App requires specific permissions to function as a digital prop. These are used strictly for local operation:

  • Photo Library Access: Used only when you choose to customize the "Stitch" or "Blank State" features. You select the media; we display it.

  • Local Processing: We do not upload, scan, or store your photos or videos. All media stitching and template configurations occur locally on your device. We never see your production assets.

  • No Camera Usage: prefx does not access your device’s camera. All tracking markers and chroma key backgrounds are generated digitally within the App environment.

03. Offline Integrity

All core features—including Chroma Key, Kelvin/RGB lighting reference, and Interactive Themes—are processed entirely on-device. No data regarding the custom text or configurations you input into these templates is transmitted to baffe, LLC or any third party. prefx is fully functional in airplane mode.

04. No Third-Party Trackers

prefx contains no third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or advertisements. Your usage remains private and anonymous. We believe your workflow data belongs to you, not an algorithm.

05. Compliance

Because the App does not collect or transmit data, it is inherently compliant with global privacy regulations, including COPPA and GDPR.
