prefx Privacy Policy

This addendum applies specifically to the prefx mobile application provided by baffe, LLC. We built this tool for our own sets, and we respect the privacy requirements of a professional production environment.

1. Zero Data Collection

prefx is a localized filmmaking utility. We do not require user accounts, logins, or registration. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal information, contact details, or device-specific identifiers (such as IMEI or advertising IDs).

2. Local Media & Permissions

The App requires specific permissions to function as a digital prop. These are used strictly for local operation:

  • Photo Library Access: Used only when you choose to customize the "Stitch" or "Blank State" features. You select the media; we display it.

  • Local Processing: We do not upload, scan, or store your photos or videos. All media stitching and template configurations occur locally on your device. We never see your production assets.

  • No Camera Usage:prefx does not access your device’s camera. All tracking markers and chroma key backgrounds are generated digitally within the App environment.

3. Offline Integrity

All core features—including Chroma Key, Kelvin/RGB lighting reference, and Interactive Themes—are processed entirely on-device. No data regarding the custom text or configurations you input into these templates is transmitted to baffe, LLC or any third party. prefx is fully functional in airplane mode.

4. No Third-Party Trackers

prefx contains no third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or advertisements. Your usage remains private and anonymous. We believe your workflow data belongs to you, not an algorithm.

5. Compliance

Because the App does not collect or transmit data, it is inherently compliant with global privacy regulations, including COPPA and GDPR.

Set Plan Privacy Policy

Set Plan is a lighting and blocking diagram app for filmmakers, made by Baffe. This policy covers the Set Plan app for Mac and the Set Plan web planner at baffefilms.com/setplan.

1. We Don't Collect Your Data

Set Plan does not collect, store or sell any personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

2. Your Plans Stay On Your Device

Your scenes, plans, mood boards and reference images are saved on your own device. We don't have access to them. Files you export belong to you and go wherever you choose to send them.

3. Sharing

When you share a link to a scene, the scene data is used only to display that scene to the people you send it to. Anyone with the link can view the scene, so share it only with people you trust. We don't use shared scenes for any other purpose.

4. Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your payment information. Apple's privacy policy covers those transactions.

5. Crash Reports

If you've chosen to share diagnostics with developers in your Mac settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. These don't identify you, and we use them only to fix bugs.

6. Web Planner

The web planner runs in your browser, and plans you make there aren't sent to us. Our website host may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, as part of normal operation.

7. Children

Set Plan is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it on this page with a new date.
