We have a very particular set of skills

Yes. The 2D version is free in your browser at baffefilms.com/setplan, with no account or download. Set Plan for Mac is a one-time $9.99 purchase. It adds the 3D walkthrough, camera views with lens and sensor settings, ready-made locations and storyboards.

Mac, iPad and iPhone. One purchase covers both Mac and iPad. The iPhone app is a companion for reviewing your plans away from your desk: you can view them in 2D and 3D, play them back, and edit storyboard notes. Projects sync through iCloud, so you can pick up on any device.

Yes. Projects made in the Mac app open in the free web version, and the reverse also works. Your gaffer, DP or producer can open your plan in their browser, make changes in 2D, and send it back. Storyboards open read-only on the web, so everyone can see and print them.

Yes. Prefx runs on both iPhone and iPad. Use an iPhone for handheld prop phones and an iPad for tablets, laptop-screen inserts or larger on-set displays.

Prefx is free to download and try. Free screens carry a small watermark. A single one-time purchase of $29.99 removes the watermark and unlocks everything. There’s no subscription.

The social feeds, news layouts, streaming interfaces and messengers are original designs with made-up brand names, so you’re not putting a real company’s app in your frame.

No. Prefx runs entirely on the device, so your prop screens keep working with no signal. Set Plan for Mac, iPad and iPhone also works offline. Only the free web version needs a connection to load.

Yes. Both apps came out of our own shoots, and a lot of what’s in them started as a request from someone on set. Send us what you need through the Contact page. We read everything.
